The journey begins in our purpose-built "dirty workshop" in Yorkshire (don't worry, it's not actually dirty!). This exciting phase reveals your car's history, often uncovering hidden treasures. We document every discovery and share it with you via our app, keeping you involved throughout the entire process.

Whether we're retaining the original or starting fresh with a fully documented and stamped new one, this phase marks the beginning of your vehicle's reincarnation. Our rigorous process includes:

- Blasting to bare metal
- Priming and powder coating
- Applying hard-wearing Raptor paint
- Protecting with Dinitrol inside cavities and on the chassis exterior

Next, we focus on the axles. After stripping and treating the casings (similar to the chassis), we rebuild them to match your powertrain requirements. This includes:

- Installing new driveshafts
- Refurbishing differentials
- Tailoring the drivetrain to your specific needs

The next stage in this process involves the braking system. We run new brake pipes from front to back before fitting your chosen brakes. Every component is new and of superior quality to the original factory specifications. Our favourite option is our in-house Retro kit, which proudly displays our R logo.

Once the brakes have been sorted, we move on to the suspension. Land Rovers are renowned for their ability to "go anywhere," and our suspension systems are designed to enhance this capability. We offer a range of options, including:

- Standard suspension
- Lowered suspension
- Adaptable air suspension

All our suspension components are new and tailored to your specific needs, ensuring optimal performance regardless of your chosen setup.

After installing the initial chassis looms, we focus on the heart of your vehicle - the powertrain. This stage involves integrating your chosen engine, gearbox, and transfer box. It's a visually striking phase as your dream vehicle begins to take shape.

Once the chassis is in its marked build bay, we begin the restoration by installing a brand-new, improved wiring system. This ensures one of the classic Land Rover's original weak points is addressed, guaranteeing reliability for years to come.

With a rolling chassis now in place, we move on to the bodywork. We replace the majority of the body panels, retaining only key elements such as the bulkhead and windscreen frame. Every panel undergoes a thorough painting process, both inside and out, ensuring a premium finish even in areas that aren't immediately visible.

Once the exterior resembles a classic Land Rover, we turn our attention to the interior. We meticulously implement the choices you made during our design meeting, from seat materials to sound systems and interior comforts.

Before the testing phase, we add the final details to your build. This includes proudly mounting our Retro badges on the front wing and rear, signifying that your car is ready for its final phase before handover.

This crucial stage spans 2-3 weeks and involves over 500 miles of rigorous testing conducted by various team members. Finally, co-founder Tim personally signs off on your vehicle, ensuring it's ready for its new life in your hands.

Our process culminates in a bespoke handover experience. Whether it's a scenic drive through the English countryside or an exclusive event in your home country, we'll make it unforgettable. We handle all logistics, delivering your Defender to your doorstep, whether you're in the UK, Middle East, United States, or elsewhere in Europe.

We will arrange the shipping and delivery of your vehicle to ensure you have the most seamless experience. We build our vehicles for clients across the globe and are experienced in navigating the logistical world of both national and international vehicle delivery.
